In person and virtual psychotherapy to transform emotions
Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) helps people understand and work through their emotions rather than avoiding them. Emotions carry important information about our needs, relationships, and well-being.
In therapy, a supportive and empathetic therapist helps clients safely explore difficult feelings, especially those connected to past pain or trauma, so they can better understand themselves and respond in healthier ways.
The Stillness Space Therapy works with individuals who are aware of their thoughts and actions but find their emotions difficult to resolve or understand.
EFT has been effective in treatment of the following disorders/difficulties:
- Depression
- Anxiety disorders
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Personality disorders
- Relational difficulties
- Self-uncertainty or low self-esteem
We won't know for sure. We offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation call so you can ask questions, share what you're looking for, and get a sense of whether we feel like a good fit.
After that if you decide to move forward, we encourage you to give the process three sessions before making a decision.
You can also visit our About Us page to learn more about our approach and what it's like to work with us.
You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. It's fairly common for people to have a sense that something isn't working, but aren't yet sure why.
Together, we'll slow down, get curious about your experience, and help you understand what may be contributing to your struggles and where to begin.
"I don't know" is a perfectly acceptable answer to any of our questions.
You don't need to have all the right words to benefit from Emotion-Focused Therapy. It's common to feel disconnected from their emotions (I don't feel anything) or unsure how to talk about them (I don't know how to describe it).
Emotion-Focused Therapy helps you develop this skill through collaboration with your therapist and at a pace that is controlled by you.
At The Stillness Space, our guiding mantra is “Connecting before Correcting.”
We believe healing begins with feeling understood. Therapy here is a space to slow down, explore your experiences with curiosity, and gently uncover the “why” behind your thoughts, emotions, and patterns. Through this process, deeper self-awareness and meaningful inner movement can begin to unfold.
Our work together focuses on attuning to your emotions, body sensations, and inner experiences with compassion and care. As trust develops within yourself, it can create greater clarity, emotional freedom, and connection with who you truly are.
Sessions at The Stillness Space may feel different from more solution-focused approaches. Rather than rushing toward quick fixes, we focus on the therapeutic relationship, the present moment, and understanding your inner world more deeply. While we may offer tools, reflections, or practices when helpful, there may be less emphasis on worksheets, homework, or step-by-step skills coaching.
At The Stillness Space, we believe there is already wisdom within you. Therapy is about creating a safe and supportive space for that wisdom to emerge, helping you move toward greater healing, authenticity, and self-connection.
Individual therapy sessions are SGD $180 for a 60-minute session. If additional time is needed, extensions will be prorated accordingly.
We are also committed to making therapy more accessible and offer a reduced-fee rate of SGD $75 per 60-minute session for clients who are comfortable participating in recorded sessions for certification and clinical supervision purposes.
Any recordings are treated with the utmost care and confidentiality. They are securely stored and viewed only by our therapists and approved Emotion-Focused Therapy supervisors as part of professional training and supervision. Recordings are never shared publicly or used for any purpose outside of clinical training and professional development.
If you have any questions or concerns about the reduced-fee option, we are happy to discuss them with you.
Therapy is most effective when you meet with your therapist consistently, so we recommend weekly or biweekly (every other week) appointments for a start.
You and your therapist will identify your goals starting with the first session, and you can check in regularly about your progress and needs. As you progress toward your goals, we can reduce the frequency of sessions to support and maintain your work.
It depends on your intervention goals and personal preference.
Many clients begin feeling some relief or greater clarity within the first several sessions, but the length of therapy ultimately depends on your goals. Some people come for a few months to address a specific concern, while others choose longer-term therapy to work through deeper emotional and relational patterns. We'll regularly review your goals together and support you in deciding what feels right for you.
